Best Time to Visit: The main season for golf trips to Scotland is April to late October.
Electrical Current Standard is 220 volts; bring an adapter if you have 115-volt appliances.
Passports: Make sure that your passport is current and does not expire within 6 months of your return.
Tipping: Some restaurants and most hotels add a service charge of 10-15% to your bill, in this case you are not expected to tip, but people often do in restaurants for exceptional service. Taxi drivers, hairdressers, and barbers also get 10-15%. For help from a hotel concierge or porter, a tip of £1-£2 is appropriate.
Dining: In Scotland, you have many options to choose from, including great pub food and Michelin-starred restaurants. There is an array of wonderful Scottish cuisine using locally sourced produce.
Golf Carts and Caddies: If you need a Golf Cart, please ask your tour manager. Most courses have a few carts available for golfers with medical reasons, and some courses have them available for general use. Caddies are best to request in advance, and we can do this as part of our service.
Weather: Average summer temperatures in Scotland are 60-74 F (15-22). Lightweight clothing is normally adequate, but for the evenings you will need a sweater or jacket. A waterproof coat is needed, just in case.
Insurance: Make sure that you are covered with adequate travel insurance.
Money and Credit Cards: Visa and Mastercard are the major credit cards, with American Express and Diners also being widely accepted. The unit of currency in Scotland is the Pound.

The Highlands: Inverness and Aberdeen are great bases top courses like Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart, and Nairn. Then along to Aberdeen play Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay and Trump International
St Andrews: The home of golf is a place where you can spend a week and still not play all the great links courses. The Old Course, Jubilee, New Course. Kingsbarns and just around the bay Carnoustie is playable from a St Andrews base. The new kid on the block Dumbarnie a lovely layout. Crail is one of the oldest courses in the world.
Edinburgh and The Lothians: Stay in Edinburgh a beautiful city or one of the lovely coastal towns like North Berwick and Gullane. Play Musselburgh one of the old courses in the world, North Berwick, Gullane 1 and 2. Dunbar. Some of the newer courses are fantastic, such as Renaissance and Archerfield.
Troon on the west coast is a great base to play Ayrshire’s top ranked links courses, Turnberrys Ailsa, Royal Troon, Prestwick had the first 9 Open Championships, Western Gailes and another newer course Dundonald which has hosted many Scottish Open Championships.

Now it has two fantastic courses Machrihanish and Machrihanish Dunes after you have played there take the ferry across to the Isle of Arran and play Shiskene then another ferry onto the mainland near Troon.
