The Shamwari Game Reserve was built to rejuvenate the Eastern cape to its former glory. This reserve was built on the foundations of preserving the region's wildlife, birdlife and ecological diversity. A huge conservation project was undertaken which helped to rekindle Africa’s natural heritage, improving the quality of life for wildlife in the area. Shamwari is still looking for more opportunities to grow the conservation programme which has been helped by the transformation of this reserve into an area where people can stay and enjoy African wildlife. Shamwari offers guests a choice of seven luxury lodges, all different from the next.
