Assoufid Golf Club

Assoufid Golf Club is one of Marrakech’s most renowned and dramatic golf courses. Designed by Niall Cameron, the 18hole, par72 layout opened in October 2014 and is carved into naturally undulating desert terrain, with the Atlas Mountains providing a striking backdrop.

Natural & Strategic Layout

• The course winds through gently rolling, naturally undulating terrain, creating a seamless integration with the landscape. 
• Just 45% of the terrain is planted — an eco-responsible design aiming to minimize water use, while retaining native palms, olive trees, and cacti. 
• The setting offers panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains to the south, providing a dramatic and scenic backdrop. 

Hole Design & Signature Challenges

• Hole 17 (Par 3): Considered the signature hole — an elevated tee shot over a “shaaba” (dry riverbed) with spectacular views and a well-protected green. 
• Hole 2 (Par 5): A long, straight par-5 that rewards both distance and accuracy. 
• Hole 10 (Par 4): Requires a second shot over an oued (dry river), punishing errant drives. 
• Hole 6 (Par 4): A “riskandreward” short hole where long hitters can attack, but the landing zones narrow significantly.

• Clubhouse: Includes a bar, restaurant (“La Colline”), a pro shop, and comfortable member facilities. 
• Practice Facilities: Driving range, putting green, and chipping / short-game areas available for all golfers.

Environmental Credentials

• The course is designed with sustainability in mind. Only 45% of the course is irrigated/landscaped to reduce water consumption. 
• Many of the original trees on the site were preserved, and additional native flora has been planted for environmental integration.
