Designed originally by Oscar Damman and William Meader in 1927, with assistance from Dr. Alister MacKenzie, the course has undergone significant renovations to preserve its classic design while enhancing playability. Notably, in 2019, a comprehensive renovation was completed by the design firm OCCM, comprising Geoff Ogilvy, Mike Clayton, Mike Cocking, and Ashley Mead.
