Golf in South East France – Cote d'Azur and Alps-Maritime Area.
The top courses in this area are around Cannes and inland amongst the foothills of the Alps.
This is a very popular vacation area with exceptional entertainment in Cannes, Nice and Monaco.
The coastal area is renowned for its beautiful beaches.
The golf courses are known for their exceptional mountain and coastal views.
It is a busy tourist area and golfers may prefer to avoid August and other peak holiday periods.

The Beauty of South West France
The Aquitaine region of South West France has several quality golf courses.
The coast is characterised by long expanses of sandy beaches, particularly around Biarritz.
This area is best known for Bordeaux, one of the three major wine producing areas in France.
North of Bordeaux it is not wine that is produced, it is the home of Cognac, a world famous area producing fine Brandy.
Around the city of Bordeaux there are large areas of famous vineyards. They produce a wide range of wines that include some of the best and most expensive in the world.
The climate is generally mild with warm summers often cooled by winds from the Atlantic Ocean.
